Our coaches are incredible teens who were or are athletes under Coach Ché’s care and have been developed over high school as Canadian NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) swim coaches, certified lifeguards, multi-sport or sport-specific athletes, and community leaders in volunteerism, academics, and workplaces.

Each of the Student Coach Athletes brings a diverse gift to the program experience by sharing the knowledge and skills with young people that they developed as nationally, provincially, or regionally ranked competitive swimmers, runners, dancers and team sport players. They act as role models to their peers and up-and-comers because they have invested a great deal of effort in obtaining their certifications, working part-time with the swim club and pool, and excelling in their school environments as leaders and students.

Our coaches always make it fun, too. They are passionate about paying forward what they were able to access working with Coach Ché and continuing the youth-led approach that has been the swim club’s key to success.

Our pricing ranges in each type of package due to the complexity of matching the right coach(es) with the learner(s). Every learner has different needs, and these needs may require specialized instruction skills.

Our pricing is all-inclusive. Pricing includes a learning site assessment, program navigation support, hourly services/lesson delivery, custom skill objective setting, learning and safety equipment, parent communications with the coach(es) directly, HST, and insurance.

We do not supply goggles or bathing suits.

For Student Coach Athletes,
Private lessons range from $60-80/hour and can be booked in 45 or 60-minute lessons.
Semi-Private lessons range from $50-65/hour per learner and can be booked in 45 or 60-minute lessons.

For Coach Ché,
Private lessons are $85/hour and can be booked in 45 or 60-minute lessons.
Semi-Private lessons are $70/hour per learner and can be booked in 45 or 60-minute lessons.

Families will declare the number of lessons they are seeking on the form below, organized into three ranges of frequency:

6 – 10 lessons within a 30-day period
11 – 15 lessons within a 30-day period
15 – 20 lessons within a 30-day period

We help each family to find a schedule that suits their summer planning and offer flexibility when possible, for weather or illness. Check out our Agreements and Refunds section to learn more.
Families can book for more than one 30-day period if they choose, so long as they can commit to July 1 through August 30 as those two monthly periods.

All packages are delivered between July 1 and August 30 and do not need to begin at any certain time.

We work with the family and coach to determine the best plan for summer maximization!

We begin with a draft offer and go from there with you to make it work.

Parents submit an application for each learner they wish to add to our expression of interest list using the form on this page before May 31, 2024.

If you are requesting semi-private lessons, you have the chance to add the name of the learner who you wish to collaborate with, either a sibling, friend, or playmate - maybe even Mom or Dad! The paired learner also needs to submit an application to be reflected in the queue and considered for swim school acceptance. We do not offer a service to pair learners with unknown parties also seeking semi-private lessons - semi-private lessons are for two kids who already know each other.

Upon applying, each family, or group of families for semi-private lessons, are added to a rolling roster based on the timestamp of the submission and organized based on what is reported on the form filled below.

We are filling up the coaches’ schedules on a first come, first served, basis.

We take special care to match learners with the appropriate coach based on swimming ability, goals, age, location, learning needs, and water environment.

Coach Ché personally reviews all expressions of interest and creates a draft offer for each applicant. Confirmations of program offers or declines will be made by June 14, 2024.

We communicate the offer to you via email and can provide any information required at that time. Should you accept the offer, or an acceptable modification of it, you will become registered in the school and assigned the coach(es) we match you with.

Our registration process requires a waiver signed electronically, upfront payment made online via credit card, and a learning site assessment for safety reasons, should the water be located on private property.

All documents and payments are required on or before June 21, 2024.

The program delivery period is July 1 to August 30, 2024.

All packages booked are paid up-front and are non-refundable in most cases.

All program fees are transferable. We offer “package take-overs” for families to give away their remaining lessons they cannot fulfil for any reason or can donate the remaining lessons to children in need in the area with your consent.

In the event a proven medical reason emerges preventing participation in the program you registered for, we will refund unused lessons.

If COACHé determines that the program is not a good fit for the learner or family, a full refund will be issued.

COACHé reserves the right to decline program delivery in any backyard pool or open water that presents health and safety risk.

No refunds are made for any condition beyond the control of COACHé such as poor water quality, severe storms, learner no shows, learner lateness, learner resistance to enter the water/begin class despite coach encouragement, and air temperature.

We encourage all learners and parents to consider wet suits for children who experience discomfort in cooler air and water temperatures.

We deliver programs on rainy days, but never during storms or risk of a storm. Severe rain or storm days will be rescheduled whenever possible, but we cannot make guarantees that lost lessons can be rescheduled to the exact family preferences. If any lost lessons due to weather events cannot be rescheduled, you can opt into our “package take-over” program and gift the lessons to another child.

Proof of insurance is accessible to any customer.

All documents are required by the deadline of June 21, 2024 or your registration is void and will be released to the next learner in the queue.
